Introduction to Admissions

The Master of Arts in International Trading, Commodity Finance and Shipping is designed for individuals who want to work in trading, shipping, specialised commodity finance banks or services companies related to these activities. Given the unique nature of the program, and its small class size, successful applicants to the programme must have:

An undergraduate (bachelor) degree with a good overall average of grades, from a university recognized as equivalent to the standard of the University of Geneva;

• A GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) score of at least 500;
• Part-time employment in a recognized trading, shipping, specialised commodity finance bank or services company related to these activities, in the Geneva area.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English*

The Master of Arts in International Trading, Commodities Finance and Shipping programme is taught in English. Participants must be comfortable with written and spoken English.

Once applicants have been provisionally selected by the Scientific Committee, their CVs and cover letters are placed on the secure area of the GTSA website and Human Resource Managers of GTSA members are given access to this website.

Is it hard for a foreigner to obtain a work permit?

Is the GMAT really mandatory?

Yes, the GMAT is mandatory and need to be taken by all students, without exception.

Can I attend only a few modules?
